By sending payment for a commission, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms of service. If you have any questions, please address them before entering into this contract. These terms are subject to change at any time, and you will be expected to have reviewed them before each commission.
How to Commission Me
I will accept commissions by email (deannamentzer@ymail.com), by note to my main FurAffinity account (whiteweasel), by note to my secondary FurAffinity account (deannamentzer), or by note to my DeviantArt account (Deazea). I do not accept commissions sent through skype or any other instant messaging.
I will respond to your commission request as soon as possible, usually within 48 hours of recieving it.
I will only work with one client per commission, so group work must be commissioned through a single representative. I cannot be held responsible if a third party is not satisfied with work that has been approved by the representing client. For any commission involving characters not owned by the client, I reserve the right to contact all involved parties to confirm that the client has permission to purchase art of their character(s).
I have the right to refuse a commission for any reason.
The client is welcome to inquire about their commission at any time, and I will always respond as soon as I am able, usually within 48 hours.
Payment
Payment must be made if full before any part of the commission is started. Payment options may be made privately but I do not start work until it is paid in full.
Payments are in USD and made through paypal only, unless otherwise discussed.
Full payment must be made in order to hold commission spot.
Any quoted price I give is only valid for up to 14 days. At that point if payment is not recieved, prices are subject to change.
Completion Time
Unfortunately I do work a bit slow as I take weekends off to make sure my sanity is intact, pieces average around a month, depending on how many bigger projects I have lined up before your's. I try to get the artwork done as quickly as possible, but I also put a lot of time and effort into each piece, so this can take a bit of time. I can not give an exact time frame unless I have agreed to get your work done by a specific deadline before payment was made. I try to get all commissions done before the 3 month mark, and I am happy to stay in contact with all commissioners while they wait so that they know I am still working toward their finish commission.
I will work to specific deadlines only if I am informed up front and there is no conflict with existing deadlines on pieces that are already in my queue. If the deadline is less than two weeks from the request, the client may be quoted a rush fee and payment must be made in full on the same day I quote the price, or I may not be able to guarantee the completion date.
In the unlikely event that I miss a deadline, a full refund will be issued, including the rush fee, and the work will be completed at no cost to the client as close to the requested date as possible. This does not apply if the missed deadline was a result of non-communication on the part of the client.
WIPs and Revisions
WIPs are provided for large commissions and reference sheet commissions automatically. If you want WIPs on other commissions, please state this when requesting the commission, otherwise you will not recieve them.
You are allowed 2 revisions during the sketching process. After the shading and coloring process has begun no more revisions to lines or pose will be made. 1 revision to coloring can be made, more if the mistake was made by me.
If any other revisions are required after the commission has been finished, there may be an extra fee.
Cancellation and Refunds
I reserve the right to cancel a commission at any time. If I cancel a commission a full refund will be made, unless it is resulting from harrassment of client, in which case I will refund only the value of the work that is unfinished.
After the commission has been ordered and paid for, I start the sketching process right away, so no refunds will be made after the payment has been recieved unless cancelled by me.
I do not refund any money after commission has been finished for any reason.
Usage Rights
As the creator, I retain all rights to my artwork in accordance with US copyright law, unless explicitly stated otherwise. This means I can use and reproduce it for personal and commercial use, such as prints or advertisement. Full image rights can be purchased by the client for an additional fee.
I grant permission for the client or any person whose personal character is featured in the artwork to repost a low resolution copy of their piece for personal use, as long as proper credit is given. Proper credit consists of one of my art gallery usernames or a link to one of my galleries. For digital art, a full resolution copy of the piece will be provided solely for the personal enjoyment of the client, as well as a lower resolution version intended for uploading. The client may use the full resolution image to make prints for personal use only, but may not sell or distribute the file or any reproductions. The client may not upload a unwatermarked version of the image to the internet.
No resale of my digital art is permitted. The client may not transfer any rights granted to them by these terms to a third party without my explicit written permission. If any character depicted in my work is sold or otherwise changes ownership, my art may not be used as incentive or advertisement for that transaction. I reserve the right to have any unauthorized use of my art removed from public display.
The client may not modify the piece in any way, except to crop or resize it for use as a personal icon or wallpaper. The client must ask my permission if they would like to color the piece, or have someone else color it.
If you want me to wait on posting your art to the internet until a given date please state it, otherwise the art will be posted as I see fit.
Adult Work
There is a extra fee of 20% of the total commission price for all adult work. This is not negotiable.
